The new era of apartment search
How Homi works
Homi is a video-first apartment search for New York City. Every listing on Homi is a real video walkthrough of the actual unit — the walk from the front door to the window, in one take, filmed inside the apartment you would be renting. Not a floor plan, not a staged photo set, and not a stock image of the lobby.
Why video instead of photographs
Photographs of an apartment are chosen to flatter it. A wide lens makes a small bedroom look generous, and nothing in a photo set tells you what the second bedroom really holds, how high the ceilings are, or what is outside the window. A walkthrough answers all three in under a minute, which is the difference between shortlisting an apartment and spending an evening travelling to a viewing that was never going to work.
Finding the right apartments
Filter by neighborhood, price, bedrooms and bathrooms, then watch what is left. Save the ones worth a second look. Homi covers four boroughs — Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan and the Bronx — and you can browse by area from apartments by neighborhood.
Contacting a building
When an apartment is worth seeing in person, message the leasing team from the listing itself. Your message is emailed straight to the agent responsible for that unit and they reply to you directly — there is no queue and no middleman. Only that agent sees your name, your email and, if you give it, your phone number.
What it costs
Nothing. Homi is free to download and free to use. There is no fee to browse, no fee to save an apartment and no fee to contact a leasing team, and you do not need an account to watch tours. More answers are on the FAQ.
Where the listings come from
Every listing is posted by a leasing team that Homi has selectively onboarded, so the apartment on screen is one that team is actually renting. Buildings are filmed at no cost to them. If you run a building or a leasing desk, see Homi for agents.
